These communities are brought together on this collaboration platform. There are mainly medical communities from the area of interventional cardiology and intensive care medicine. | | Docslogic AG is the independent service provider responsible for the running operations of the platform. Scope The legal relationship for the purpose of using the Internet platform “mednetwork.org” (hereinafter referred to as “the platform”) between the user of the platform and its operator Docslogic AG, CH-8610 Uster, Switzerland, is determined solely by the terms and conditions listed below and, subsidiary, the relevant Swiss laws and regulations.
General terms and conditions of the user will not form part of the user relationship even if they are not specifically opposed. |
| | 2. Service With “mednetwork.org”, we are placing at your disposal an Internet community in which you (as an interventional cardiologist, hospital or pharmacologist) can exchange experience and knowledge relating to drugs (applications, action, side-effects etc.) in the individual forums.

| | 3. Right to use The platform is exclusively aimed at users acting on a professional basis or as the representatives of legal entitles, and not at private end users. You declare that you are acting on this basis by your first use of the user ID and password sent to you.
You acknowledge the fact that the use of the platform by private end users is prohibited.
As a user, you can post contributions, texts, analyses, questions, comments, presentations, images, data sheets and notices in the platform’s forums.
This information may be read (1) by other users of these forums and (2) by moderators who are not employees of the operator and (3) in individual cases for purposes of platform administration by administrative personnel providing technical and organisational support. For these reasons, it is important that you do not enter personal data. Please see under Data for further information. |
| | 4. Security a) Internet connection
For technical reasons, we do not encrypt the information you send to us. We therefore cannot guarantee that the information will not be viewed by unauthorised third parties.
For this reason, it is important that you do not enter any personal or other sensitive data in the platform. Please see under Data for further information.
In addition, you should protect yourself from viruses by using a virus scanner.
b) Identification and access rights
You will receive a user ID and a password from us in order to gain access to the platform. The validity of this identification may be temporary for security reasons.
You must keep the identification details sent to you in a safe place and protect them from access by unauthorised third parties. Should you discover that an unauthorised third party is in possession of your identification details, you must inform us immediately. We will block your access and send you new access details.
It is important to observe these regulations, since you are entirely responsible for any wrongful use of your identification details. Please see under Liability for further information.
c) Saving the information
We must reserve the right to remove the information posted by you at any time without stating reasons. This may occur in particular but not exclusively for legal or technical reasons (e.g. to eliminate or prevent capacity problems). If the user relationship is ended, you have no right to the return of any information posted by you within the platform.
We accept no liability for this, and therefore advise you to make a backup copy of the information you post outside the platform, should you wish to use it again elsewhere. Please see under Liability for further information. |
| | 5. Data a) Data and information posted by you
It is important that you observe the following instructions for transferring information to and saving it on the platform:
To protect the privacy of your patients, you are not permitted to transfer personal data. This relates to information that could allow conclusions to be drawn as to the identity of a particular or ascertainable natural person.
Such information may not be exchanged via the platform, and may under certain circumstances, if you hold the appropriate rights, only be exchanged by other means (telephone, fax etc.).
Furthermore, the data you transfer and save must not be unlawful in any other way. Please always observe copyrights and all other rights of third parties.

We do not check, view or influence the information and data posted on the platform. In this sense, the content of the information saved by users does not reflect our opinion.
b) Data gathered by us
We gather and store your personal details (name, address, e-mail address, employer) for the initiation and administration of the user relationship and to safeguard the personally restricted group of participants.
You assure us that the personal details that you supply are correct and complete and agree to their storage and use in accordance with the purpose of the contract.
We assure that these data will not be passed on to third parties. In addition, the data will be deleted one year after the termination of the user relationship. We will supply information about the data gathered about you upon request at any time. |
| | 6. Liability a) Condition, quality or availability of the platform
The platform is placed at your disposal free of charge. We therefore do not guarantee any special condition, quality or availability of the platform.
b) Other services supplied by us
In special cases, we offer additional services within the platform (in particular input masks and analysis tools).
If you make use of these services, you must be aware that we offer them solely as working aids.
However, we cannot accept any liability for these free services; for this reason, we advise you to check the accuracy and appropriateness of the results separately.
c) Wrong, unlawful or immoral content
We place the platform at your disposal, but do not accept any responsibility for the information you obtain, and in particular for successful or unsuccessful treatment. Therefore, please always check the information before using it.
Furthermore, we must reserve the right to delete unlawful or immoral content from the platform immediately at any time, particularly if we have received information that such an infringement exists.
If claims are asserted against us by a third party for negligence or damages due to unlawful content or personal data obtained or communicated in contravention of the data protection legislation contained in contributions you have posted, you will hold us harmless from such claims. This applies in particular to the costs, such as legal costs, of defending ourselves against them, and all other damages which may arise with regard to the unlawful content.

On the platform, we provide links to further Internet sources which in our opinion provide useful information on certain topics.
However, you must be aware that the pages to which the link refers neither reflect our opinions nor have our agreement, and that we have not checked the accuracy or legality of the content they provide. Furthermore, we do not check whether the information under a link changes after the link is inserted. |
| | 7. Intellectual property The information and contributions we post are protected by copyright. You are entitled to use this information for your own personal purposes. Commercial use, on the other hand, is not permitted without prior written consent.

| | 8. Concluding provisions a) Modifications to these terms and conditions of use
We reserve the right to modify these terms and conditions of use without prior notice or special notification. We therefore request you to read them through at regular intervals, but at least every two months.
b) Duration and termination
This user contract will be effective and the terms stated above will be applicable beginning with the delivery of the identification details and is concluded for an indefinite period of time.. It may be terminated without notice by either party at an y time..
We will do best efforts to expand the service further to your complete satisfaction. However, should the service be discontinued at any time, we will inform you of this fact two weeks prior to the discontinuation.
In any event, you are not entitled to the return of any information you have posted within the platform. Please therefore take note of Instructions with regard to backup copies of your information.
c) Place of jurisdiction and applicable law
The relationship between the operator and the user shall be governed by, construed and take effect in accordance with the laws of Switzerland (ignoring principles of conflict of laws). The exclusive place of jurisdiction for any dispute, claim or difference between the operator and the user which may arise out of or in connection with this relationship (including, without limitation, claims for set-off or counterclaim) and the legal relationship established by this agreement from or in connection with the user relationship and relating to the platform is Zurich, Switzerland. |
